The CPU NB VID Control is for adjusting voltage for that 144 bit memory controller. If I am not mistaken yours works at 1066Mhz but fails at 1333Mhz correct? It is a hit or miss type of thing but you will not damage the cpu by raising the CPU NB VID Control +0.1 or +0.2 volts. I use a windows program to adjust mine now PhenomMsrTweaker: Cool & Quiet customized and have raised it to +0.25. It only helped mine. PhenomMsrTweaker: Cool & Quiet customized, but you may need to set yours up in Bios because the program only works in Windows. You will need to set the DDR3 Voltage control to the mfc's voltage specifications if you set it to 1333Mhz. I would leave the timings on auto until you test the memory. You should use Memtest86+v2.11 to test your RAM. Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
Here is a good url to save to favorites, with alot of good downloadable programs. Latest Overclocking Programs, System Info, Benchmarking, & Stability Tools I hope this helps.

memory settings are 7-7-7-20, 1333Mhz, 1.7v. everything else is default/auto. (settings writen in the box)
i've tried raising the CPU NB VID Control to +0.1, 0.2, 0.25, 0.3. even 0.35... still no go in dual channel mode (slot 3&4), can't even go to the bios screen. to get to the bios screen again, i had to remove 1 stick, or replace the sticks in single channel mode (slot 1&3). i haven't tried PhenomMsrTweaker yet, will do if i have enough time to play around with my rig ^^

Hi Inforcer. Is it possible that the 2 memory modules are not the same? I know that sometimes the memory can get misslabled. You may want to check it with memset 4.0 just to see if it is identical. Tweakers.fr

the store where i bought the patriot lets me upgrade the pariot kit into a ocz kit. it's a 4GB (2x2048MB) D/C Kit PN - OCZ3G1333LVAM4GK (PC3-10666 Gold AMD Edition Low Voltage).
OCZ Technology | Products | Memory | OCZ PC3-10666 Gold AMD Edition Low Voltage the first kit was a total failure, BSOD's on each sticks ![]() then the shop kindly gave me a replacement, and the second kit works fine, so far ![]() i tested each of the replacement stick by running a video that lasted 30 minutes (anime, macross frontier, last episode, HiRes-HQ-mkv :P), everything seems to be ok. the first kit, gave me BSOD before the video ends. i've been browsing, playing Perfect World (MMORPG) high settings, 3dmark2006. no BSOD so far. so i guess the replacement stick are ok ![]() i also run Window 7's "Windows Memory Diagnostic" on each stick, and no error is reported. ================================================== ======= the problem : like the previous patriot kit (PDC34G1333LLK), i can't get this kit to work on dual channel. single channel is fine for 1 stick (slot 1 or slot 3) or both stick (slot 1&2 or slot 3&4). so now i'm confused ![]() somebody help me...
