sorry to dig this up, but it actually sounds like this guy was missing a power connector, namely the 2x 4-pin 12V power connectors that connect near the rear panel...

As for you monday, check all of your power connectors for sure, when it doesnt even get to the post screen its usually power connectors. If they all seem to be in the right place, and the CPU and RAM are both seated right, then maybe try booting with an older PSU (or 2 if you dont have one strong enough) to test whether or not its an actual PSU problem, or just connections

Do you mean lights came on yout graphics card that normally do not? If so please read the manual for your card and see what that means. Some mean different things Is why I ask.

Sometimes one or both of the power connections to the card are loose, or it could mean something else all together. Please check with the card's manual

Sounds to me like you could either be having a PSU issue, or some settings may be off in your BIOS. Does that PSU have enough amps on the 12V Rail for your GFX Card? Can you please post me your MIT Settings into this template so I can see if all looks OK

I've gone through the manual but it doesn't state anything about the LED. I'll try to look further on the website after this.

Regarding the possibilities of the connection problem, well, the PC suddenly doesn't turn on without me touching the internal connection, which I doubt could be the culprit in this case. Nevertheless, I already double/triple check the connection and nothing seem to be wrong about it. Once I got my hand on another PSU, I'll post the results.

Erm, sorry for newbie question. How am I going to get the MIT setting?

Well normally you have to press DEL at the Gigabyte screen, but Im not sure how you can get to the MIT, because your rig hasnt been POSTing, has it? You could try using an old GPU if you have one lying around and see if it starts up properly then, in which case you'd know its a GPU problem. Also, try connecting your GPU to a separate PSU (any old one as long as nothing else is drawing current from it) and you will be able to determine if the PSU is to blame for the issue.

Well the PHASE LED's just show how many "Power Phases" the CPU is using.

I was asking about your Graphics card LED, did't you say it now has 2 LED's on that was not before?

About you not turning your PC without touching the connection, which connection do you mean by that?

Sounds to me no matter what connection it is that something is either shorted/shorting out or your PSU is dying. I would not attempt AT ALL to power the system on anymore until you get another PSU to check it out.

The MIT is in the BIOS, you hit the Delete key at bootup to get into the BIOS

Hi guys, sorry about the late reply, it was quite a hectic week and somehow I manage to go through it with minimal damage.

Well, to cut it simple, it was the PSU problem, as soon I change it to a new one, my PC was running again.

Must be power inconsistencies that cause this problem, BTW, thanks guys!

Default Re: GA-P35-DS3 - what do the phase leds mean?

Hello! sorry to bring up this old post again but I've a problem. A serious one! I've built my own comp and it has a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P motherboard, 4 gb RAM, Radeon 4850 HD, An intel core 2 duo 3ghz (stock cooling), a PSU (Power supply unit?) that gives 520W and a standard Hdd 150 GB.
I press the power button and the cpu fan spins a half round and then it stops for a few secounds then it gets up to 800-850 RPM. The phase leds is all lit up all the time, I've changed my PSU one time already. So i dont know what im going to do. If I try to get to windows it restarts at the loading screen.

The temp of the cpu is 36 degrees when in bios. It also makes a sound, a beep that never stops. It does not stand in the manual what it means.

Help me!
If you need additional info I'll be happy to give you it.

Is this a windows install from an older board? If so, what was it? You may just need to do a clean install, while it is always recommended it is not always a must but in some cases it is for sure.

If you did a clean install and you are having other issues let me know and I will try to help further. The 20+ fast beeps, that is often to tight of ram timings (tRD-Static tRead Value)

If you do need help with your settings please fill this out and we can help

But what does that sound mean? It must mean something or it shouldn't make that sound. Nevertheless, my equipment is totally new. Could something be defected? or could it just be the OS? Because when I'm trying to launch it with safe mode it freezes at a .sys file and then restarts.
