Gigabyte EX58-UD3R, 920@4.0ghz, mem@1200Mhz - want mem@1600Mhz

Specs:

Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R rev 1.6 - Bios: FB
Intel i7 920 @4.0Ghz with Thermolab BARAM cooler
A-Data 6GB 1600Mhz RAM
Gigabyte ATi Radeon 4890 @ 970/1150Ghz
InWin 850W Commander

All runs well, stable and cool. I used Gigabyte's guide to OC my 920 to 4.0Ghz: http://images.tweaktown.com/imageban...2.12_(ENG).pdf

And it worked perfectly. However, my memory is running at 1200Mhz, I would like it to run at 1600Mhz. In the guide's after thought he says he managed to get his memory to 1600Mhz, he writes:

"...raising the memory divider ratio to 8x, DDR3 will overclock to DDR3-1600MHz. Remember, raising the memory means we need to raise the Uncore frequency as well. In this case, I set the Uncore frequency to 3.4GHz and kept the same DDR3 voltage at 1.5V."

I did this, but my machine won't start with the divider ratio at 8x and the Uncore at 3.4Ghz. Anyone have any ideas?

QPI/Vtt voltage = 1.515v
DRAM voltage = 1.60v

According to the manufacturers website, the working voltage for my RAM is 1.65v-1.85v

I tried raising the DRAM voltage to 1.66v, 1.70v and 1.80v to no avail.

Lowered the QPI to 1.295v.
Changed the timings to 9-9-9-24.
Changed the uncore to 3.2Ghz.

And success!! Awesome.
