I appreiceiate all your help, and if you want to continue to try I will continue to try and do what you suggest. To recap we have the MCH core at 1.3V, the Channel A and Channel B of the static tread value at 11. I also tried 12 and that didn't work either. Thanks again. |

Have you updated the BIOS to the newest version yet? There si a pretty new one here:
GIGABYTE - Support&Download - Motherboard - BIOS - GA-EP45T-UD3P (rev. 1.1) Do not use @BIOS though, follow the QFlash guide. |

Ok, so no I have not updated the bios because, well honestly it scares me.
Which version do I download (F1-F5) and how do I go about updating it with the QFlash guide? Thanks |

F5, higher number means it's newer. The guide is in the forum, it's a sticky post:
BIOS Flashing - A "How To ~ Qflash Guide" |

That bios guide is overkill, it's so easy.
1) Download and extract the bios files on an usbkey 2) reboot into bios and select qflash 3) push enter at the selected bios, there will only be one 4) Reboot, reset bios settings to default (reboot again if you are superstitious) 5) done.. |

Ok this still didn't work for the ram but I can't thank you enough for helping me with the bios update, it's just one of those things that I always have been afraid to mess with, and now i know..."and knowing is half the battle" :) Anyway, I will continue to try different things with the updated bios to see if that will work and if you have any other suggestions I appreciate it, thanks again.

No problem :)
BIOS update used to be a pain with floppy drives and flash utilities that required slash commands, but's really easy now with things like QFlash :) I would also contact Gigabyte tech support, maybe they can help with a Beta BIOS or some setting that is DDR3 specific that I don't know about. Tell them about the BIOS settings I told you to try. |
