Works on UD4P as well. It is a little faster for sure, can't wait to see all the boards have the new AHCI ROM. It is still kinda slow, but nothing compared to 1.06-1.07

See above for link. They are still working on compatibility issues with it, that is why it has not been made into all new BIOS's yet

Here I uploaded a F8B modified bios for the EX-58-UD5 (not extreme) including the latest intel raid bios 1.20E for whoever wants to test it:
http://www.fileden.com/files/2009/5/...9/ex58ud5m.f8b
Works fine in my system, no warranties included for usage. As usual with any beta code.

Hi. thanks for the info on the modded bios, but how do you install it I have used flashspi and spiflash and they both stop with a bios mismatch, if one of you guys let me know how to do it, what is the way to flash back to a ud5 bios once they have put the new ahci in it. Thanks.

on the beta-download section of the german gigabyte site you can find the most up-to-date beta bioses:
GIGABYTE Forum

in my case i grabbed the F14d for my P35-DS4 which has the updated intel AHCI Rom 1.20E;
it has has a somewhat reorganized menu, combining MIT and Ram settings into a single section;
it flashed nicely with Q-Flash and works very well...
the boost to the intel rom startup-speed is quite remarkable;

best update i ever flashed on my DS4
