Default How do I uninstall GWUM tools

What are GWUM tools and how do I uninstall them?

I have P35DS3L Mobo and BIOS F8b. EasyTune 5 is now not working - will not load. When I select it, cursor shows activity (and Task Manager performance tab shows a small blip of activity) but then nothing. I thought I would just uninstall and reinstall, but at the Gigabyte site it says I have to first uninstall EasyTune 5 AND GWUM tools. I have no idea how to uninstall the later. I search for "GWUM tools" on the Gigabyte support website and also this forum but get no hits.

GWUM = Gigabyte Windows Utility Manager
It appears to be related to EasyTune4.
I extracted an old downloaded file, motherboard_utility_gwum_13f ET4 only vB04.073001.exe, and it created a folder named B04.073001.
The most recent file date in this folder is 07/30/2004.

I would uninstall ET5 and download the most recent version of ET5 Pro or ET6.
My P35-DS3L (bios = F9) is currently running ET6 with no problems.
I always close any version EasyTune before I shutdown or reboot my system.

ProfJim - Did you have EasyTune 5 before going to 6? If so, did you delete GWUM files first? Where did you find it? Or are you saying GWUM only related to version 4 and not 5 and that I can safely just uninstall 5 and reinstall without worrying about the GWUM files?

On their download page, Gigabyte notes that ET5 is compatible with P35 boards, but they are not shown on the list for ET6. Interesting that it works for you. What operating system do you have on that computer? I have Vista.

It appears that GWUM was part of or related to the ET4 setup, but not any of the later versions.
Yes, I had ET5 and ET5 Pro before I installed ET6.
You must always uninstall the previous ETx version before you upgrade to a newer version.
I never had ET4 on any of my systems.
ET6 functionality on my P35 mobo is somewhat limited compared with my EP45 mobo.
I'm running w2k pro (sp4) on both of my systems.
I searched my system and didn't find any GWUM specific files.
I never use any version of EasyTune for tweaking my systems.

BTW, I do understand binary/hex poop.
