SATA2 RAID Driver 1.17.47 WHQL
caused data corruption.

I have 2x OCZ Core V2 64Gb SSDs in Raid 0 on the GSATA interface and was using the original driver from the Gigabyte website. Downloaded and updated the driver above and now I can't put any data in it. Chkdsk says there are errors and then just stops. Removed the Raid and then setup a new raid... partitioned using Diskpart @ 128k alignment.... formats ok... assign drive letter.... and then I get an error whenever I put data in it.

Rolling back to the original Gigabyte driver solves the problem so this is an issue with the above driver.

Using GA-EP45-UD3P Rev. 1.1 Bios f9a
ICH10R has 2x 150G Velociraptors, 2x 500G Barracudas, 1x 320G Barracuda and a Liteon DvD burner. (Velociraptors and 500G Barracudas are both setup as Raid 0)
Edit: Using Vista x64

Reason I put the SSDs on the GSATA is because they have a problem on the ICH10R when AHCI is enabled.

Do I have to update the JMicron controller bios too in order to use the newer driver? According to ATTO, the newer JMicron driver gives me almost double the performance!

Thanks for the reply, stasio.

No go on that new driver. I tried it out this morning and it gave me the same problem. It could be that something in the driver conflicts with the way SSDs work? What's the difference between the original Gigabyte driver and the JMicron driver? The original GSATA driver nets me 155MB/s on a Raid 0 SSD setup... something which should be running at 200+MB/s. Even my 500G 7200rpm Barracudas in Raid 0 are hitting 225MB/s while the Velociraptors in Raid 0 are giving me 240MB/s. Something just doesn't seem quite right when a single SSD puts out 120MB/s...

Going to go back to the original Gigabyte GSATA driver until I find out what's wrong. stasio, please let me know if you find out anything regarding the differences in the drivers. I'd really rather not have to go and buy another Raid card.

BTW, this system is extremely stable having gone through 24hrs of Orthos and Prime95 plus 10 cycles of the Intel Burn Test.
