Default LSMEDASAP- Question

What brand of memory works the best for P35-DS4?

What about for 4 sticks?

Any recommendation for the exact part #?

Thanks!!!

My Personal suggestion is Mushkin. How much money do you want to spend and I can make some suggested part #'s for you. And do you want 4x1 sticks or 2x2?

Also, what CPU do you use, and how high do you plan to overclock it for 24/7 use?

Thanks!

Ignore the cost, pick a high end and middle ground set of 2x2 chips, please.

CPU is a QX9650 mildly overclocked to 3.5, but I would go for more with the right ram.

Both are good really. The black ones will do 1000 with the same timings/voltages so it is really just about the cash and the color of the heatsink I suppose (If that matters to you)

The black ones I know for sure will do 444-12 up to about 875-900, I am not so sure about the redlines. But if you are looking at 900-1000+ speeds then either will do it at 555 timings

Also, most of the 1066 sticks will do 444 timings at lower speeds as well

They are great sticks, you will be happy with them for sure

They both would scale out to be about the same so either one is a great choice

Got the Black Mushkin and I'm very happy with them so far. I moved the Crucial Ballistix memory that they replaced to an Abit Motherboard where they also work great. It seems that you are right, Gigabyte can't perform to it's best with Crucial.
