The OS is Windows XP Pro SP2. The bios is F10. In device manager, I show a error/missing driver for "audio device on high definition audio bus". I have updated all the audio drivers grom Gigabyte, as well as the chpset drivers for the board. I am still unable to reconcile the issue that the device manager sees, yet I have fully functioning 5.1 audio! Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I may be missing or what I need to do? Any and all help is GRATLY appreciated! |

Well I would suggest ignoring it. If it is working, dont fix it! I mean alot of users cant get the sound to work, and yours is so you should leave it.
But If you wish to tempt fate, I would suggest you uninstall ALL sound drivers, MS and GA ones, reboot and then install the Realtech ones direct from the realtech site, and DO NOT let Microsoft ones install via windows update or otherwise
