Default Overclocking EP45-UD3P and Q6600 G0

Recently put this system together with the following components:

I'd like to get a little more, maybe up to 3.6 GHZ. CPU temps are good staying below 65C when stressing with OCCT. I've tried setting Advanced Timing Control settings for the ram, but am not having much luck. Also tried increasing vcore with no luck. Below is Memset, if that helps (don't know why it show ram as DDR3). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried 2.4 multiplier clocking up in easy stages or even 2:00b or 2:00D with 8x on the cpu?
I assume youre testing with the case side off,or even with mbrd out of the case?.
Its just when u get your desired speed and pop the cover back on + with summer coming oat and temps inside may go up a little.
Id go ahead n link my settings but im sure theres better answers from people who actually run that cpu.

No, but I'll give that a try.

I'm using original CM Stacker case with crossflow fan, good airflow. Using Coretemp for cpu temps.

Thanks fatguy1992. Those settings will boot in to Windows, but aren't passing stress testing. It's a start though. I'm still working on it.

Thanks for the offer of help, Lsdmeasap. I've been out of town and couldn't get back to this. I'm going to be away from the computer for 6 months now, so I'll have to get back to this later.

Thanks again.

I'm having trouble OC'ing my EP45-UD3P with Q6600 G0, 8 GB OCZ Flex II PC-9200 (1200 MHZ @ 2.2V), I got a custom heatsink with Shin-etsu paste.

I have tried the settings as follows.

I hope that helps, but every CPU is different.

But my temperatures were hitting 85 C, which I consider a danger zone. Any suggestions?

What coller do you have, under what load and ambiant temperature you had those temps?
Maybe you don't need all that vcore, what is your CPU VID?
