I just bought GA-EP43-DS3L and use it with two 1 GB Corsair twinx PC 6400. I'm having problem when trying to install Windows Vista or Windows XP. For windows Vista, when the setup load, it goes to blue screen. Things not goes to differently with Windows XP, after the first restart, it goes to bluescreen also... Please help, thanks |

Can you test that ram with Memtest86+ on a different system one stick at a time, you may have gotten a DOA set >>>
Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool Did you get either system Installed already?

Looking for a little assistance about the (probably) same issue.
New build was good for a couple of weeks but then started having problems getting it to POST. Once it does, and it's now taking the best part of 10 minutes, the system is stable even with a reboot. I'm using 2x2Gb of Corsair TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF and was hoping if you could give me some rough idea of what the numbers should be, I've tried tweaking it on my own but it's difficult to test as once it starts POSTing it's fairly stable. I've tried; Updating the BIOS to the f6 version (although I've just noticed a new version on the site - will try that tonight), reset to both fail safe and optimal defaults Running MemTest overnight , no faults found (I don't have another machine to try the RAM in) As per post #3 I tried setting the tfrc value to between 52 & 62 (auto had it set to 68) and bumping up the MCH core voltage a little (I'm not very comfortable in that part of the BIOS) Still no luck |

My processor is an Intel E7200 Core2Duo 2.53 GHz Wolfdale core
I'll check the BIOS settings when I get home from work but I'm reasonably sure that I just set everything to Fail-safe defaults after the setting changes didn't work. |

You want to use Optimized Defaults until you get some suggested timings. If you want me to give you some I will tonight when I get home. Please load optimized defaults in the meantime and post your settings with the above template

Ok, Here is some ranges for you to start with. I know it is a big BIOS page isnt it! have you read thru the 2 Guides I have pinned? If not, when you get some time please do as it will help you understand things a little better so you can be more comfortable with it.
Voltage changes are fine as long as you do not try to set things super high in a attempt to make something work as this is usually not the issue unless someone has told you something is way to low. All below voltage changes are safe, and normal for 2x2GB. I did not suggest any CPU related voltages as it looks as if you are not overclocking. Hope this helps you for now, if not I will see you tomorrow as I am on my way out the door for the night. Good luck MB Intelligent Tweaker(M.I.T.) Hello. I've just joined these forums and wanted to share my experience with other users who seem to be having similar problems. I think, but I'm not 100% sure yet, that the problems are resolved.
I used this board on a new build initially with Vista 32-bit, 2x2gb G.Skill 8500 memory, which is supposed to run at 5-5-5-15 with 2.0v to 2.1v, and a Wolfdale E8500 processor. I updated bios from F3 to F6 soon after the build. I had terrible problems with multiple rebooting and BSOD's. Also, memory speed as reported by CPU-Z would not run better than 5-7-7-24. All symptoms were better with only 1 stick in, but still unstable and not right. ![]() Updated to bios F7 and also bought another set of the same memory. Same problems. Bought a second Gigabyte GA-EP45-D3SL motherboard and swapped it in. Same problems. Bought a 2x2GB set of Corsair TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF. Same problems. Was just about to RMA the ASUS Radeon 4850 graphics card. . . ![]() Updated to bios F9d, which was posted only for a short while. PROBLEMS virtually GONE!! Still a BSOD occasionally, but very rare now. Memory runs at rated 5-5-5-15 speed using 2.1v. Now the most recently posted bios is F8. I tried it but was not 100% stable, so I went back to the F9d. (Both F8 and F9d have the same description - an update to fix issues with higher speed memory - they may in fact be the same bios versions, not sure.) System is running very well now. ![]() My conclusion is, of course, that the earlier bios versions needed to address some memory issues. I am very pleased now about how the system runs.
