Problems under P35 DS3 only on games
Hi everybody! Im new here in forum and i would like you to see this case... First, this is my pc:
P35 DS3 rev 2.0 (made here, in Brazil)
Sapphire X1950GT 512mb
Cooler Master 600w
2x Samsung Sata II 80gb (raid 0, on jmicron)
2x512 667Mhz Blitz
E4300 65nm
Super Flower eXTREAM cooler (2x fans 9cm)
Ok, my problem is, when i try to overclock my system, i got a good clock. For my cpu, i get, for example, 3Ghz on default vcore. And i can go a little bit far, like 3,2 Ghz (with 1,35v) and i can pass on all stabilityprograms. Everything is ok, memory pass on memtest, occt for 30 minutes, and temps are good too (i live under the equador line, so its hot here but everything is under control). But, when try to run the crysis benchmark my system just reset. I dont understand why, but it always happens. I tried to increase vcore (to 1,4), MCH (+0,1), FSB (+0,1), but nothing works. Under windows, everything is fine, for hours! I guess its something about pci-e clock, so i tried to put it on 100Mhz manualy and on auto option, but doesnt works. When i put eveything on stock (no overclock) i can run the benckmark. I tried the F10 and F12 bios too. Why this is happen? Anyone can help me?
Thanks so much!

Re: Problems under P35 DS3 only on games
Ram is to slow, and not enough. That is why it locks up on you
Likely the bigger of those two issues is that it is not enough ram.
Do you have your ram voltage at least set manually? If not please do so as AUTO often changes

Ok... Now im testing this with 2x1gb 667Mhz, with 1,8v but i got the same problem. I have disable all usb devices, but doesnt works too. So i decided to test the cpu incresing slowly the clock, starting from 2,0Ghz. When i get 2,6Ghz, the system crashed again. So, there is some problem with this fsb? I will try to put more voltages at all, with this clock and see what happens. Thanks for the attention!

Re: Problems under P35 DS3 only on games
Is that ram 1.8V or does it need more? And yeah you may need more CPU voltage to start overclocking. What CPU is it?
More voltages is not always the answer, but if you want to try that just keep them to a minimum. Also, to overclock and be stable you need to disable EIST, and C1E

Re: Problems under P35 DS3 only on games
Yeah, it could be your driver, have you tried a older one?
Please repost that with ONLY your settings as I am not sure what you have set and what you have left from my post of it

I tried to put one old Catalyst, but crashed again. I downloaded the new chipset and raid driver, but still crash. What else i can do? Im almost giving up...

Are these below on AUTO, what you posted above for the below settings I mean? If so, what you see on the left when in AUTO is not always what the system uses, and I see issues here so best to manually set them as follows

Ya know, I have the same card, 256MB version. Your card's Voltage regulator may be overheating. Especially if you added a aftermarket cooler.
If you did not, can you install ATItools and set the fan to run at a higher speed (Do not use this for overclocking, if you do ever please go into Setting, then X1000 overclocking and check Use Driver Level Overclocking) >>>
ATITool_0.27b3.zip
To adjust fan speeds go to settings, fan control and set to Override fan speeds, and manually set them in a upwards level. Such as above 45 = 55%, above 50 = 65%, above 55 = 68%, above 63 = 72%. Something along those lines
Other then that, are you SURE your PSU gives enough power on the 12V rail? The requirement is very high for these cards, it is 28-30 >>>

450-Watt power supply or greater, 30 Amps on 12 volt rail recommended

humm... This memory setup i just made a read of it on auto mode and put it a little bit more "relax" (understand?) But i guess this problem can be about memory, cause when i used the ram to run on 833 (333 fsb) i almost got to run the benchmark. Cause in other times the ram was on 667 without overclock, this is why i wasnt paying much attention to them. Run in 833 was an accident, i didnt put the multipler to slow speed. Now im trying to set them to run on 833, with 1,8, 1,9 and 2,0 volts (using memtest).
My vga is a X1950GT and my PSU has on 12v line 18+18A (i guess this is enought right?)
And thanks so much for the attention dude!!!
