Are you sure it means the SN of the card? It's almost never the hardware SN that's needed. The program may be prompting you for a registration code (sometimes refered to as a serial number) as it's not just installing drivers but also the video capture and playback programs.
Have a good look on the paper/plastic sleave that your Driver disc came in. If you have lost it and the cards packaging you may not be able to install the bundled utilities. You can still install the actual drivers via the "Have Disk" option in Device Manager, but your card will be useless without the software needed to operate it.

You might also try that number again without the "sn".
