Default Re: Tv card

As I said in my first post, it's a serial number for the capture/viewing utility. I beleive the card comes with a free copy of Cyberlink Power Director 6.

If you've lost the serial number (originally located either on a separate sheet of paper in the box or on the CD cover) then you've lost the ability to use the program. You could contact Cyberlink support. If you registered the software with them then they may have your serial number on file. Hopefully they can send it to the email address you used if you registered it.

Other than that, try contacting Gigabyte tech support and see if they have any spare keys in case of such a situation. the program is rather old, so there's no real monetary value to the product and they may be able to give you another key.

The software is only used for video editing etc. You should still be able to use the card via the free bundled software Gigabyte provided to watch TV etc.

The latest version of the drivers (including updated ones for Windows 7 if you need them) are here : GIGABYTE - Support&Download - PC Components - Driver - GT-P6000 there also seems to be a utility adding X264 functionality, presumably in the recording process.

This special offer may have closed, but there's info on getting a free copy of Power Director 7 Ultra Here CyberLink PowerDirector 7 Ultra Free Download with Licensed Activation Key My Digital Life and also a shareware version to download free here: Download PowerDirector free

The name of the thing asking for the serial number is: Presto! Pvr set up. When I insert the driver cd, these are the options. Express Install - Tv card driver - Remote control driver - Mce codec - Tv player - Power director 6 - Manual - Adope reader 6 - Exit.

you can click on custom install on the cd and uncheck the power director 6 box, then it will install all the other programs and you will get your tv card to work, power director is just a video editing program you dont need it to watch tv

I done installing them individually. They were all accepted excluding the tv player. The tv player is asking for the serial number. The serial number u gave me, must I put all in with the dash, or must I put them in 4s.
