Default Re: UD3P BIOS won't load overclocked settings...

Chike...just finished a few rounds of settings adjustments/benching/crashing. I think I've got something I can live with at this point.

Ran OCCT-CPU for over 6 hours with large data set and was error free with temps on each core from 47-52 degrees at peak and a rock steady 1.232 volts.

Thanks to Conner/Kick/Ldsmeap/Chike/Prof for posting settings to cheat from....helped alot

Good job
No chance to lower Static tRead to 11 or 10 if not 9?.... it just breaks my heart to see it on 13 LOL

Knew I'd forgotten one of the important memory settings. I'll start with 10 and see what develops...thanks for the tip

Will post back,

Default Re: UD3P BIOS won't load overclocked settings...

With your current 450 x 8.5 and 450 x 2.400B settings, Static tRead Value (tRD) = 9 or possibly 8 should be stable. Lower tRD is better.

Perform an extended stress test using Prime95 (Blend) or OCCT (medium data set) for 10 hours or longer to ensure that your system is stable.

Post your "final" bios settings along with your screen-shot when you've completed your testing.

Good luck!

Default Re: UD3P BIOS won't load overclocked settings...

Alrighty then....tried a couple runs unsuccessfully.

I assumed tRd was "performance level" in MemSet b/c I couldn't find that exact abbreviation in the settings. In the BIOS, I think it was in the settings for each A/B channel.

Anyways results:
tRd @ 8= Error around 3 hours of OCCT-CPU on core#1
tRd @ 10= Error around 3 hours of OCCT-CPU on core#0
Volts rock steady on all lines....

Should I adjust MCH volts? Other? How beneficial is lowering my tRd?

Default Re: UD3P BIOS won't load overclocked settings...

Increase CPU Termination by 1 setting.
MCH Core might need to be higher by 1 setting.
These suggestions assume that your test was run with the settings from the post #21 screen-shot.

yes tRD is Performance Level in Memset, Static tRead Value in BIOS.
Try some more tRFC 60-64.

Both are DDR-800 (400MHz) ignore what the stupid program says.

Get MaxxMEM² - PreView see what change it makes for your system.

WOOT!... not perfect but managed to get the static tRd down to 9 and only had to increase the VTT a notch. Only benchied for 8+ hours on OCCT-CPU but was error free. Here's the OCCT screenie:
