I think this is a good thing, however what does the HPET do? Also once I install F9 guess I will know this, however what are the settings available on this option and what should it be? Sounds like this HPET thing is something specific to Vista from what I'm reading. People also talk about drivers. Do I need special drivers in Windows to support it?

Installed F9 and was looking at my notes. HPET was already on the BIOS. Also as for the Loadline CPU vcore control item correct me if I'm wrong, however this was implemented in F8 and F9 just controls whether it's active or not correct? I noticed an improvement in F8 with my voltage drop, however F9 seems the same, except it has controls for Loadline on or not.

dunno...seems a bit more stable here
HPET is actually only currently useable in Vista at least they have fixed Smartfan with this bios release :D
