"DDR3 2000 memory with Intel® XMP enables new levels of memory performance." Can I safely try OCZ3X16004GK modules? I'm in doubt between buying an OCZ kit or a kit from Corsair (Twin3X 4GB DDR3-1600 CL7 DHX XMP kit) Which one should I best buy? The Corsair one is more expensive (no idea why, to be honest). FSB will run around 1400 MHz because of Intel Q9550 (E0) CPU I will use (for now). Thanks in advance.. |

Some users have Been having issues with DDR3 in that board, That brand in particular >>>
http://forums.tweaktown.com/search.php?searchid=43115 I would recommend Mushkin if you can find them where you live. They are the only DDR3 brand I have not seen issues with

Why would two brandnames (OCZ and Corsair) that are also mentioned in the Memory support list at the Gigabyte site suddenly 'have issues' with DDR3? I don't really trust your judgement on this. TWIN3X4096-1600C7DHX DDR3-1600 (DHX3-12800C7) 4GB Kit (2 x 2GB) 7-7-7-20-2T 1.9 is listed at http://www.corsair.com/helpdesk/ram_support_b.aspx as compatible with the GA-X48T-DQ6 too. Also look here: http://www.houseofhelp.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=70192 and here: http://www.houseofhelp.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=71758 and here: http://www.houseofhelp.com/forums/sh...d.php?p=373222 Mushkin doesn't even make much DDR3 kits yet a.f.a.i.k., choice is quite small anyway. I doubt it would be any better than Corsair.. Last edited by Liefde; 11-03-2008 at 01:23 AM. |

Sorry about the Link, I forgot Search links are only good for a certain amount of time (All I did was search OCZ3*
You asked, and I answered. I say this because it is true. And as for QVL lists, here is Gigabyte's and you will see they list only 1GB sticks for OCZ 1600 compatible >>> http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/FileList/...a-x48t-dq6.pdf Please do use the search feature here and first search for OCZ* as I said above then search about X48T and you will see what memory issues it has with what sticks like use X48T* Mushkin does make Many DDR3 kits, here they are >>> Mushkin - Enhanced Performance Memory 4 Newer Models here Ascent - Revolutionary eVCI Technology has Arrived I am only giving you advice that you asked for what would be better or compatible so I advised you from what I know of helping here in 70+ pages of support with the mentioned brands. See this post and you may think again before you decide >>> Could GA-X48T-DQ6 be the cause of random BSODs and failed stability testing?

I have no idea what your bief with Corsair is, but it is just plain nonsense:
Customer Reviews Of CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail I have the kit running for 48 hours now, memtest86 tells me it's all perfect, and I have yet to experience instability. |
