I have just bought a new system and my rams are : 4GB (2*2GB) KIT Hyperx DDR3 2000MHz CL9 XMP Ram. An my mainboard is GIGABYTE P55-UD3R. When I first booted and entered the bios I have realized that my ram clock is 1333mhz. I have heard that I need to activate a feature on my bios called Extreme Memory Profile. When I looked at it, I can choose disabled, Profile1, and Profile2. Ok that doesn't mean anything to me. I can not see the profile1/2 specifications so how can I choose. Or the real question: is it the right feature to use my rams at 2000mhz. I am using i5 750 as Cpu and I am not thinking an overclock right now for it. Thanks for your help. |

DO NOT use the XMP's as they can overvolt . Manually overclock your ram, manually set the timings, and manually set the voltage. You would just need to up your memory multiplier if you dont want to overclock the cpu. Im not experienced on the p55's so cannot get into more detail. But leave XMP disabled.
