Default Hyper X 1066 cl6 at 1T

Hi I have my 2 X 2gb sticks of KHX8500AD2K2/4G running in my new DFI dk p45 t2sr motherboard alongside my Q6600B3 cpu and Evga 280GTX.

My issue revolves around the command rate of 1T. Despite looking for a setting to change the command rate to 2T, the bios does not hold this option (that I can see anyway and I've checked the simple and advanced bios options).

Can you advise me on how to get my memory running at 2T please?

Could you also advise what is the fastest that I can expect to clock this ram to (using 2T of course) and the maximum save voltage I can pump through them.

Thanks

Johnerz

Well its been a while and no replys, so I'll try with more info:
Motherboard DFI p45 t2sr dk latest bios
280GTX
CPU Q6600 B3 at 8 x 430 3.44
memory 2 X 2gb sticks of KHX8500AD2K2/4G running at DDR2 860 6,6,6,18 @ 2.1 volts
Now they are rated at 1066 @2.1 volts
How do i acheive this?
Ive tried a 333/800 devider DDR2 1033 6.6.6.18 and it bsods before windows boot @2.1 volts
I've tried a 266/667 devider DDR2 1078 @ 2.1 volts. 6.6.6.18, bsods booting Vista 64
all other bios memory settings are on auto

After many hours of tweaking I cant acheive any better that the DDR2 860 I'm running now
As you expect I am not impressed, it's my first buy of Kingston ram looking like my last

Please help :) I hope I dont need 7.7.7.20 to acheive this :(

I reckon the secret's in the "A" of your RAM part number. Those are single sticks not a dual-channel kit.

Right out on the leading edge like this, you should have bought the 2x2gb kit designed for 1066 operation (KHX8500D2K2/4G). That stuff'll run like a charm doing 1066 5-5-5-15 @ 2.2v exactly as advertised. I have it doing so myself.

Try this. Pull one stick and see if it runs at 1066 reliably then.

Don't diss Kingston over this. There's a reason that they sell matched pairs you know.

I believe if you check the Kingston website and look at the data sheet, you will find that that part number is indeed a two stick kit. Tested to run 800 at 6 6 6 18 at 1.8v and 1066 at 7 7 7 20 at 2.0v. Where did you see that the voltage was 2.1v?

Yes it was a two stick set, as for dissing Kingston, when the flatly refused help they get what they deserve, I've sold it on and replace it with ocz platinum, a far better and more stable ram for me.....and the service on their support forum is fantastic :)
