Are you using a 64bit operating system? Like Windows Vista 64bit. If so you can ad more memory. 2.2 volts should be fine considering that Kingston specified at 2.3v ± .1v and that Gigabyte board already has a slight overvolt. You can confirm that by going into your bios and look in PC Health Status. I got mine at 1080Mhz@1.95
