Thanks ... looks like you saved me a few bucks! Going with your recommendation. Had been set to get the Asus P5Q PRO but then came upon some excellent reviews of the Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P ... that made me rethink my prior decision. Also, have heard nothing but good about Mushkin DIMM's. Thanks again.

Ya, I personally have not use any of the Ultra Durable 3 Gigabyte boards yet, but I do have a GA-EP45-DS4P and Love it! Tons of BIOS options!

And yeah, you cannot go wrong with Mushkins they are Great and always my top suggestion when asked

Will it post with only 1 stick of ram in slot one? If so you just need to adjust some settings, which you need to anyway with 2x2Gb

Does that PSU that came with it have 26A or more on the 12V rail? If not it may not be good enough, I'd suggest a new one anyway as free ones with cases and generally only suggested to use if you have to while you wait on a quality one.

What CPU are you trying to use? Some older CPU's will not work with P45 boards

That card itself requires 26A to run, and with the rest of your system included with the card 20A on that PSU is not enough for the system to start likely.

You should buy a quality PSU with at least 35-50A on the 12V rail

Possibly, it just depends. Can you test this PSU in another system to see if it even works?
