Is it fine without trying the drivers?
Do you want some older ones like 174 or lower? If so go to laptopvideo2go.com they have ALL versions.
I'm building a new system and am running into some problems.
Specs:
Problem:
- Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-EP45T-DS3R
- Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz 2 x 4MB L2 Cache
- Video: GIGABYTE GV-NX96T512HP GeForce 9600 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16
- Ram: Patriot Extreme Performance 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Dual Channel Kit
- Power Supply: Real Power Pro 550W
- OS: Vista Ultimate (32-bit) with SP1
When I install the video drivers I get a BSOD/Memory Dump upon login of Vista. I've tried the drivers on the Gigabyte site (175.16), the latest certified drivers on the Nvidia site (175.19) and even the latest beta drivers (177.79) with no luck.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Jon

Thanks for the offer. I ended up trying a few of the older version but had the same problem. I then tried installing XP and it seems to be working fine with 175.19.
Jon
Hmm so you think it is a Vista issue?
Did you install all the updates for vista?

I have to assume so since it has been working 100% since installing XP.

Hmm well I guess it would be then. In Vista had you already installed the Intel Chipset drivers?
ATI and Nvidia Drivers are often quirky. I use ATI but often wait SEVERAL Versions before I update to the one above the older one I am using. So I am always about 4-5 versions behind because newest often has errors with this or that.

Im a Vista noob, but I think it doesnt like 4G of ram until you install SP1. Try taking one of your memory sticks out, install SP1 and try again.
EDIT: Never mind, I just saw your Vista is already SP1. However, the 32bit version wont see all of your 4G. I would try booting with one stick, install vid drivers, reboot into Vista then shut it down and put the other stick back in anyway. It may be a conflict because vista will be addressing your video card below 4G.
