Atm is 8-8-8-24, 1x Corsair Modul and 2x OCZ .

20*190 = 3800mhz
190*8 = 1520mhz DDR3

@ LSD, i know, for Tripple and Dual Channel = White Slot
@ stasio, the Mainboard dont Boot with 10-10-10-30 @ 1200mhz ( all Channels
with OCZ, if i put a Corsair Module in DDR3_3 = boot ) :[

Excuse my arrogance but I'm frustrated. I love this board but someone is kind of Lazy.

• Whats the deal with all the BIOS releases that have no descriptions on what they do, fix, correct, add and so on?
  
• And if there are descriptions why are they so hard to find? Believe me I have looked.
  
• Why are there BIOS versions later than Gigabyte's site shows?
  
• Who is writing them?

Who in their right mind would just flash a BIOS without knowing the works of it?

Beta's BIOS's do not come W/ Descriptions from Gigabyte sources, that is why you do not see changelogs. Even on final versions only partial changelogs are posted at Gigabyte's site.

Is there a particular BIOS you would like some information about? If so, let me know and I will see what I can find for you

Many users, and sites get Beta BIOS's for testing purposes. That is why you see many posted at various sites.

Gigabyte is writing them, they are official and you can get Beta's various ways. Here in our list, a few other sites also have similar lists, and Several users get them Via email and share with others. If you are concerned then do not flash I suppose. You can email Janus our Gigabyte Official Mod here if you would like to get Beta's, but as you can see they are regularly available already

Beta BIOS is always just that BETA, and yes a BIOS flash is always a risk Beta, or not. All relevant pages display warnings and how to's. So it is all up to the end user to decide things such as that and know the risks involved

I'm running fine with the shipped F4. I would like to see a better fan control system in a BIOS but will stay put for now I guess.

Hello!
New to this forum!
I have a question bout beta bios for X-58UD5...
In all the betas its impossible to get out of a faulty overclock.., when I try a to high clock it tries to boot and restarts.., then it shows a code "88"...
No move will get it out of it exept a clearing of cmos...
BUT.., with bios F3.., all works fine and I can easily boot my 920 in BCLK 190 !!! 3.8ghz... (with betas 150 BCLK)
I tried reflashing several times and tested a lot of different settings to be able to use betas.., but no luck so far...
It must have sum to do with some of the currents in default.., but wich.., I simply dont know... Benchable so far with F3 is 4.1ghz on air only wich is rather sweet.. :-)

Clearing CMOS to get out of a "BAD Overclock" is a normal thing, that is why they have added Clear CMOS buttons, and why old boards have Clear CMOS pins as this can be often the only recovery option from very bad settings.

All normal I say.. But yes, beta's can be worse then others that is for sure. I do know on my boards some bad overclocks will reboot cycle back to defaults eventually without a Clear CMOS but others for sure always need it. It just depends on how bad the attempted overclock is and what setting exactly is causing the issue

It would be a nice BIOS option to have memory dividers lower than 2.00. Having to run your memory 1:1 or higher can really decrease your CPU overclock. Many other boards have memory dividers that allow this.

ie....

Dividers such as 1.25 would allow us to run 500fsb while the memory was still @ DDR2-800.

1.25 divider- DDR2-1000 normal memory setting @ 500FSB= DDR2-800 (1000/1.25= 800)

1.20 divider- DDR2-1000 normal memory setting @ 500FSB= DDR2-833
(1000/1.2=833)

1.10 divider- DDR2-1000 normal memory setting @ 500FSB- DDR2-909
(1000/1.1=909)

Imagine how useful these settings could be when overclocking your CPU without your memory holding you back ;)
