Hi,
I use this exact setup. I am running 4.30 stable with voltage set to -0.020V, turbo boost disabled,PWMs at Medium and everything else at default. Speedstep and VT-C work nicely. My system was not stable above 4.00 with the air HSF I had, the Corsair H60 have me stability at 4.30 (Could possibly go a fair bit higher as board will boot on 1.25 strap but I dont want to overclock the bus or increase idle power usage which would be needed to exceed 4.30Ghz). 2 Days of Intel Burn Test passes and I have not had a single crash.
Also wanted to add some some fix detail for thos running Gigabyte Z68 or X79 who have the "Device Cannot Start" issue wit the MEI and Onboard LAN. You need to update using the built in bios utility or DOS. It is updating using @BIOS that causes this issue.
Still no UEFI bios for G1. Sniper 2?
Like me buy a premium board and keep u in the dark just like a mushroom.
wont buy a gigabyte board again, its a joke. g1 sniper 2. long gone, they dont care,.
When do you think we will see the official release of these UEFI BIOS updates to the Gigabyte website?
Gigabyte support only can say "Check back from time to time. There are no estimated date currently, when available it will be posted on our website.
We have already made the request over to our team regarding this board".
I was hoping sometime soon, as we have been waiting since May for the good news.
Can anyone report on the Beta 1UA BIOS for the Z68X-UD4-B3?
EDIT: The 1UA is an AMAZING beta/alpha version! Running great without over clocking the new Ivy! Thanks Gigabyte Team.... Still waiting on the release....

After a few months of working with gigabyte to get logitech equipment working with the g1 assassin2 x79, they go and break the G510 on the official release f11, when everything was working fine in f11h, brilliant work gigabyte, thumbs up(IDIOTS).Keyboard cant be used in the bios again.

It seems like F12h further refines the OpROM compatibility fixes which were added in F12g. The OpROM of my storage controller in my secondary PCI-E 3.0 slot now loads before the OpROM of the storage controller in the PCI-E 2.0 x4 slot. In F12g, the PCI-E 2.0 OpROM loaded first, which didn't make any sense, and prior to F12g the PCI-E 2.0 OpROM didn't load at all. There is also now an extensive CSM configuration page for Legacy vs UEFI OpROM priorities broken down by type.
I did notice a bug though. Profile loading from a USB flash drive seems completely broken in F12h, while it was working in F12g.
Please do not try and load a bios profile from a older bios version. You should always reapply your overclock settings manually and save as a newer profile. Loading a profile that is not from the same version bios can cause problems.
This goes for any chip set not just z77.
