GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS

I thought the GA-Z68XP-UD5 was their top-end Z68 board? Why haven't they even released even a beta UEFI BIOS for it after all this time? The UD3 and UD4 already got it. You'd think the more expensive boards would get better support, not happy.

And people had to flash back from the beta UFEI bios because it was so bad, if im not mistaken in my reading. They really have failed at delivering what they had promised us, usable BIOS towards the end of JULY...were halfway through august and nothing new on the Z68 front, and no official word either...ridiculous really.

Im in the same boat spent £300 on a top of the range sniper 2.
was told will be fullt 3770k compatable. it is not.
had it about 9 months if they dont bring a bios out soon, im taking this board back. not fit for purpose. was told on purchase fully ivy bridge compatable. load of crock.

These BIOS files are in "Beta". So if they go away it may be due to less than desirable results.

As I'm using the bios I do not know if it is considered "safe" to use but just potentially problematic to release for a less serious reason.

So I see someone here helped with the bios for Real World Labs RAID 0 TRIM testing. Looks like we could be getting TRIM in RAID 0! Link here: SSD RAID 0 TRIM Confirmed - Dreams Do Come True I briefly set up my SSD's in RAID and what a difference in speed! The whole lack of TRIM thing made me revert back to AHCI, though.

I would like to ask the same! How/where to look a BIOS with correct OROM for Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H MB or the mentioned person who did the mod for the MB in the Real World Labs' article? I'd love to have SSDs+RAID0+TRIM! Edited: I am sorry about wrong threat, and there seems to be several people who are able to do the same mod. Please, if you can modify the BIOS, put the update in GIGABYTE Modified Bios so others will find it also. Thanks!

I can say it was not me who did the mod. I could have done the mod or will do the mod for anyone who ask. There is a sticky on this forum for Modified Gigabyte bios's. The only problem I have with the article is he did not mention which 11.5 raid rom was used in the mod, I do believe they used the latest 11.5.1582 rom. You will also have to use windows 8 to have trim.

Did you read last page of that testing? With the right Orom and IRST, RAID works in Win 7.

TRIM obviously is working within Z77(Intel 7 series chipsets) RAID0 systems by using any Intel RAID driver and ROM version of the v11 series. This is valid for Win7 and Win8.
