problem solved by disabling onboard audio lan and video
Hello,
I am new to building computers and have just built a HTPC.
The computer consists of :
GA-MA78GM-S2H rev 1.1
2x1GB Crucial Ballistix BL2KIT12864AA80A PC2-6400 DDR2-800 CL4-4-4-12
AMD 64 X2 5000+
Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 3.5IN 500GB
LG GGC-H20L Blu-Ray HD DVD Combo
I got everything hooked up, started it up and went into the bios didnt change anything then ran the windows vista 32bit install disk. Ran fine and started install. Got to the completing installation part of the install and gets hung up about 75% through the progress bar. Tried installing from a ide dvd drive rather than a sata dvd drive no luck. Next up is with only one stick of ram in and waiting on those results.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Aaron
Update: no luck with one stick of ram

Thanks for posting back what helped you! Many people have issues with this board so it is good that you posted what you found to help!
Thanks, and sorry I did not get a reply to you until now. Seems you handled things yourself very well!
