well ... you don't said what motherboard you use ????
check sum message is normal .... did you choose optimum bios setting after update bios ??
Hello all,
Well, thanks to Lsdmeasap for article on how to flash...i just did it and it was a pleasureable experience!
However, just after it performed the flash..these messages arose..
checksum 0300
are you sure to update Bios?
i replied yes. and a further message arose saying "copy bios completed - pass"
But is that checksum message something of concern?
Also,
under PC HEALTH STATUS of CMOS setup pages, i have..
vcore 1.204v
ddr18v 1.888v
+3.3v 3.296v
+12v 11.858v
current sys temp = 41 c
current cpu temp = 33-34 c
cpu fan = 936 rpm
(i only have 1 case fan which sucks air out)
cpu warning temp = Disables
cpu fan fail warning = Dis
cpu smart fan control = auto
Is there any issues here i should address?
cheers
Kurnell

Ooops,

"did you choose optimum bios setting"
yes i did.

Yeap, checksum message is normal. If you ever see less then 4 characters do not flash with that BIOS and go back and download a new BIOS file

Just to reassure, yes, that checksum message is normal. It is not mentioned in the manual for the motherboard, but if you find the full Q-Flash manual on the Gigabyte website it is mentioned there. Stupid thing is that Gigabyte doesn't seem to publish the checksums for the BIOS files, so you can't check the value when it is report by Q-Flash.

Ya, they are not published but you can use a Checksum program to check the sum before you go into qflash and be sure the same is reported before you flash. That would help a little incase of a error while loading the file.
Just be sure it is always 4 characters
