ok, thanks, my memory is set on bios with that voltage.
I'll try that bios settings, and hope everything goes fine with me.
I'll be back with results.
Thanks again
OK, the only change I would make to the above settings would be to run your memory DRAM volatge at 2.1V per the specs Like this:
My memory says 2.0~2.1 so I got lucky by using the low end at 2.0V. From the link you sent me, it seems that your Corsair wants 2.1V so best set it to the specifications. That will give you the stability you seek.Code:DRAM DRAM Voltage............1.800V.........: 2.100V
ok, thanks, my memory is set on bios with that voltage.
I'll try that bios settings, and hope everything goes fine with me.
I'll be back with results.
Thanks again
How did things go here? Just checking in with you guys

This is great. I'm just starting to look into OC'ing and you've given us a great starting point. Only problem is I'm not certain if you have the same HSF so your settings may not work for me!![]()

I have the Arctic Cooler Pro 7. However, this should not matter one bit. My point was that the settings I gave should result in a stable overclock at stock voltages, so no additional heat should be generated. A stock Intel cooler will work fine, even if you had to bump a few settings up a bit.
With the rig in your signature, you should be in fine shape!![]()
I've been looking for some stable settings and fortunately you listed the same specs I have so I copied your settings and voila! Things seem to work perfectly for me! Most of the other threads I have read on various forums seem to be more focused more on squeezing every last drop of life out of their components while I was looking for something more along these lines. Noticeable performance increase + 0 change in heat = wonderful! I must say everyone has been extremely helpful to a beginner like me, both members and admins. Thanks!
Excellent! Happy to hear this was a success for you!![]()

You mind if I jump in on this?
Running the same mb (GA EP45-UD3R) with the E8400. Have 4 Gig of OCZ Reaper that runs at 2.2v and is 1100Mhz.
I'm trying to OC at 4Ghz.
- CPU Host Freq = 450
- SMM - 2.00B = 900 (tried 1066)
- RAM Timings = 5/6/6/18 (OCZ specs)
- CPU VCore = 1.3v (lower?)
- MCH Core = 1.25V (tried 1.1, 1.3)
- DRAM Volt = 2.2v (OCZ specs - also current setting)
I've been testing with OCCT. But either the PC locks up, reboots after about 20 min or OCCT reports an error. Always an error on Core #1. Today, not long ago, I got the same error (not sure what all this means) and I'm still working in Windows. OCCT v3.1 through an error that I submitted to MS. Didn't happen with v3.0.
No idea what to do with some of the other adjustments/timings. This board has way more than I've ever seen.
Using the Xigmatek HDT-S1283 along with Tuniq TX-2 .
Well at 4Ghz you are going to need to set alot more settings then you mentioned. So if they are in Auto then that may be why you are having issues. Vcore 1.3? Ya, I would think maybe
Please post me a link to your ram and then give me the full settings you are using now and I will advise back on where to start

Here's the link for the RAM. I'm using the recommended settings:
OCZ Technology | Products | End of Life | OCZ DDR2 PC2-9200 Reaper HPC 4GB Edition
I'll get the info you wanted and post it here before long.
By the way my mb is version 1.1 if that matters.
