What are your specific goals?
- Stock system (333 MHz cpu) running memory at its full rated speed?
- Mild overclock? (10 - 20%)
- Moderate overclock?
- Type of usage; general computing? gaming? other?

Include a list of your system's major components and add them to your signature. This makes it much easier for us and it cuts down the possibility of errors when we're assisting others with similar setups.

Include a link to your ram's specifications if you haven't done so already.

Some just want a stock system that might be overclocked in the future.

I was running a "stable" 3.8Ghz but the settings were lost on some power cycle failure. Hopefully, this is now resolved.

Opps.... the "highest values first" recommendation ONLY applies when a range of possible values is supplied, such as:
tWR.....................................8........: [AUTO] <-- (4 - 8)

The Advanced Timing Controls should not be changed until after you've reach your desired stable overclock. Leave all these settings on AUTO for now, with the exception of tRFC which should be ok when set to 54 or 56. The default auto setting with 2x2GB of DDR2-8500 memory is usually 68.

Command Rate should always be left on AUTO unless you're running memory speeds below DDR2-750 MHz.

Please post your current stable bios profile and include a screen shot with
cpu-z and Memset, using Memsets ">>" and SPD tabs.
3.8 GHz with your system should be a no-brainer.

I am looking for a stable system, we don't play many games, this is just mainly used for everyday use. IE: internet, mail, online videos, etc..
Running at stock speed or a little above would be fine for us.
At least we don't have the startup problem anymore.

Here is an example of a very useful screen shot using Memset, Easy Tune, cpu-z, HWmonitor, and Prime95. This screen was captured while Prime95 was running, so we are able to see system temps and volts while his system is running at full load.

If you're happy with your system at stock settings, you can overclock it later. If you want to stay at stock settings, we can still improve your ram's performance with a few additional tweaks. Let us know what you want to do.
