I guesss the theory is that you have the backup,if needed, saves a possible "frisbee status" of the motherboard.

I haven't set it up as yet though.
There's been a lot of talk about the dangers of bios flashing. I've flashed almost every mobo I had, no bad flash so far. Is flashing a dual bios mobo really safer?
