I don't know about servers but usually with the newer OS you do not need to install raid/sata drivers upon installation. Thes will be installed with the installation and you set it up in the bios. As well as within the raid controller.
Hi, I need some help setting up a server. The configuration is below. The help is to do with the Raid and Sata Drivers and setup.
OS to be installed is Windows 2003 Server Enterprise Edition
The setup i would like is that:
SATA2_0 - 500GB HDD be the bootable OS drive
SATA2_2 & SATA2_3 - 500GB HDD are the raid drives where all our development work is kept.
System
--------
Motherboard: GA-EP45-UD3R
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550
1 - 500GB Sata II Hard Drive on SATA2_0
2 - 500GB Sata II Hard Drives on Sata2_2 & SATA2_3 configured as Raid drives through Raid Bios.
4GB Ram
DVD Drive
There is no floopy drive in the system.
The issue here is that i have copied the boot drivers from the Gigabyte Motherboard CD onto a usb stick but cant install.
1st not sure if i have copied the right drivers.
jraid
Jraid - system file
jraid_f - setup file
txtsetup.oem
Any help would be appreciated before needing to call in a tech to do this. If there is anything i have left out please let me know.
Cheers
Eff

You have the incorrect Raid Drivers on your USB stick. Those drivers are for Gigabyte SATA2, which are the two purple SATA2 connectors on your board. You have your HD's on the Yellow SATA2 connectors, you have to look on the Gigabyte Motherboard Disk for the INTEL RAID Drivers to put on your USB stick.
Hi Efraim
Select the website for your revision. Once on the web site Scroll to the bottom and select your drivers. If you have GA-EP45-UD3R rev.1.0 use----->
GIGABYTE - Support&Download - Motherboard - Driver - GA-EP45-UD3R (rev. 1.0)
Select your drivers if you have GA-EP45-UD3R rev.1.1 use----->

Follow the instructions that are in the manual.
