I have a Gigabyte P6000 tv card. I through away the box with the instructions and serial number. Is there any other way I can retrieve the serial number. Pls help.

have you looked on the card itself?normally its printed on there too with sn infront of the numbers

I put that number witch starts with SN. Still not accepting it.

do you have the reciept? it might be on there,and it should accept it if its the serial number

I lost the reciept as well. The tv card was playing fine all this time untill I had to reformat my computer. I had to reinstall all the different drivers. Now I dont have the serial number.

so your trying to get the drivers? or have you installed them and now it wont work?

In the process of installing the drivers. It ask for the serial number. This is the number I found on the card, SN0850031020. But its not accepted.

Are you sure it means the SN of the card? It's almost never the hardware SN that's needed. The program may be prompting you for a registration code (sometimes refered to as a serial number) as it's not just installing drivers but also the video capture and playback programs.

Have a good look on the paper/plastic sleave that your Driver disc came in. If you have lost it and the cards packaging you may not be able to install the bundled utilities.

You can still install the actual drivers via the "Have Disk" option in Device Manager, but your card will be useless without the software needed to operate it.

You might also try that number again without the "sn".

I tried the number with out the sn. Dont work.
