GA-EP45-UD3R new build - BSOD - Can't install XP OS

CPU Reference2………,,0.800V*.......:<<< .67% Of Vtt (Termination above) Auto Will set this correctly << Auto Couldn't see where to change this. Hoping its on auto. I'm guessing it's a hidden setting???

Both sticks of RAM are in 1 and 3 slots and working. It cycled about 4x and is now frozen on the gigabyte page where you can select to go into BIOS.
Is it suppose to do that?
How long will it take to start working if it is suppose to do that?
OR is it another problem? lol

Your board may not have CPU Ref #2, only #1. Leave it on Auto

What has cycled 4x? Please shut it off, unless you were flashing the BIOS. Shut it down manually with the case button and restart the system and enter the BIOS. If you see a Red warning box when you go into MIT Section that means some BIOS settings were still incorrect.

If this is the case, please post back for me the exact full settings you tried.

I'm guessing it doesn't have the CPU Ref 2 because I don't see it.

The computer turned on then off about 3-4x
Shut it down like you suggested and the red box is there.

These are the only changes from the list or my selections.

Robust Graphics Booster Auto
MCH Core 1.22v
Dram Voltage 2.1v
Virtualization Technology Disabled

Everything else is as you suggested on the settings.

Yes, some BIOS do not offer it on various Models. No need to worry it is hidden and set to auto

OK, try 1.24 MCH Core then. If you get the same error, restart the system and be sure the memory multi is set, then try 1.05 MCH Core instead of 1.20-1.24 as sometimes this is needed on certain boards.

If you still have no luck, try again 1.24 but do not set Drive strength settings this time.

Tried 1.24 and after the restart it shut down again, when it came up, it froze on the Gigabyte Picture again.
I restarted it from the case's power button. It booting to the gigabyte picture again it automatically rebooted. Then I was able to enter BIOS and NO red box in the M.I.T section.
Looks like the 1.05v is fine too.

What's next?
Should I leave it at 1.05v or the 1.24v?

Well be sure your settings are still there if you don't see a red box, sometimes the BIOS will fully reset to defaults if settings are way off and no warning may be shown.

Ya know, if you are mainly concerned with installing a system right now you should be able to do so with only one stick installed. Then we could get this all setup for both later if you wanted

Ya the settings still show the 1.05v.
I restarted the system just to make sure and it's still 1.05v.

Should I try to install XP again and should I do it with 1 stick or both installed?

Ohh, ok so you are sure your settings are holding then right? If so sounds like you are good to go at least for now right?

If so, go ahead and try to install your OS or run a little memtest and see if it will run for a while.

Leave both stick in now that you have it going, and see if you can install XP now

Not sure but I'm going to run the mem test to check. If it fails I'll try the 1.24v setting. If it goes well I'll give the OS install another go.
