That's too bad :) I'm still trying to work some angles but no luck. Seems these boards hadn't been released yet. I did have a vendor in New Jersey tell me "we had a few a couple of months ago but we're out now" Hmmmm..... somehow my BS radar went flying off the charts :)

I did call Gigabyte's customer service and a sales rep said he didn't know when they would be released; but if you go on their website you can get all the drivers and BIOS updates for rev 2 (at least the GA-X58A-UD5) right now so...

At any rate one place I was checking said they were expecting some new shipments in as they were pretty low on their supplies. :)

In fact the person who sold me my parts had me had me e-mail him so he could let me know if they got the rev 2's in before my return period expired :)

What's the difference between rev 1 and 2 anyway?? Some time ago I remember looking this up and all I could tell is that 2.0 had some European energy compliant thing... but I'm really not sure at all.

Well that's nice of him to email you when they are coming in, if he remembers that is!

They revised the phases and power delivery methods, added an official ON/Off USB Charge port and that's about the jist of it.

I us got in today and checked the truck and we got some GA-X58A-UD3R rev.2 boads in stock. I know you wanted a UD5 or a UD7 if we got any, but so far none of them have shown up as rev.2. I'll keep an eye out for those in the next few days, but I put this one aside anyway if you'd like it instead.
