Sorry fellas, had to leave town the past few days and just got back tonight!

980X uncore can be 1.5-2 x ram multiplier, unlike previous 1136 i7's that had to be 2 x or above.

You can change your uncore for sure Gangifilms!

Is there any websites you can refer so I can learn about overclocking? Maybe threads on this forum I didn't see? I think I get the point but I want to learn how voltage works.

Wow, it's been a long time. I have been very busy and have been putting aside the task of getting my PC up and running.

How's that cooler perform?

Pretty good! I am getting temps at 27 degrees idle on 3.6 ghz, so I am thinking I might be able to reach 4.6 ghz 24/7. Possibly 5ghz, I wouldn't be surprised.

With the three fans, lapped base, and thermal pad it's quite amazing. I could only dream what it would be like if I lapped the 980X but I did not want to risk losing one grand. However I would assume I could be at 24 degrees at 3.6ghz.

I will get started overclocking probably later this week, getting busy again X_X

That does sound good, I bet you can do 4.2-4.5 easy!
