Ahh ya it might be, I forgot to see if I noticed two or not. Did you see one by the CPU anywhere?
It might be an ISC clock gen for the pci-e. Like the current ud7 and ud5 there are two different ISC clockgens, one for pci-e one for cpu.

no, on the UD5 i found the one for the CPU and the one for the PCI-E the PCI-E one is rectangle old fashion looking, the cpu one is square. This is the cpu clock gen for the X58A-UD5:

i have a pic of the pci-e on but its at home :(

negative. I would imagine only 1 for pci-e, but maybe they got around OC problem by adding one for the cpu so you can get around in internal clock gen, but i would think that would be almost impossible. We will see i guess.

Stupid question. These P67 seem to have no display ports in general. All 1155 CPU's so far are predicted to have IGP. Can we discrete users discreetly disable that unnecessary part of Sandy or what?
if you dont see any display ports at the back of the mb,then you wont be able to utilize the built in gpu inside the cpu
maybe a similar mb to the h55/h57 will be released later with display ports built into the mb,then you can use the gpu inside the cpu
if you have a pci-e graphics card then it will disable the onboard graphics automatically

Ahh, the H67 models do have ports.
Though, it could be neat to compute something with the iGPU in P67, even though it has no port. Sort of cheap "Tesla".![]()
The sandybridge line uses sleep transistors+ a PCU that will shut off power to the igp if not in use, it can shut down every part of the processor even without sleep transistors, but it self and the ring interconnect. PCU=power control unit. Sandybridge LGA 2011 will not have IGP, it will have 32 lanes pci-e, quad channel ram, and other goodies, but it will be expensive like 1366.
