Ok I tried the latest awdflash 8.96 but it doesn't work, it shows me the screen to input file name and then nothing happens after ... the Flash Type is also blank and not detected by awdflash.
Any tips?
I want to do a full flash for my board with this switches "/py /sn /cc /cp /cd /wb /ld"
Can we still use awdflash.exe for current x58A motherboards?
Please if someone tried and worked fine with gigabyte x58a, share your experience.

Did you try using a bootable floppy or usb drive with an autoexec.bat file that has an entry similar to:
flash895 gap35ds4.F12 /py/sn/f/cc/r
to automatically use the specified bios file with the flashing options you want to use?
More information is in BIOS Flashing - A "How To ~ Qflash Guide", near the end of post #2.
Flash8xx and FlashSPI (or SpiFlash) use different command line options.

The example in post #3 was from the bios flashing guide.
Note: "similar to". I wasn't suggesting Flash895.Did you try using a bootable floppy or usb drive with an autoexec.bat file that has an entry similar to:
Use the forum's ADVANCED SEARCH feature to find threads that deal with FlashSPI and SpiFlash. I think that VORLONUK has several posts that deal with both of these newer bios flashing programs.
A web search should provide additional information.
Let us know how you make out.

Yes i'm using bootable USB with autoexec.bat file, but awdflash won't detect my flash chip type so it can't continue.
