    does it matter which pci slot i install my x-fi sound card in? as far as performance goes?

    Does it have a power wire that plugs into it from psu? It should tell you on soundcard box what pci slot to use and inmb manual

    You'll also want to check the manual to see which slots are what PCIE lane assignment IE x1/x4, ect.
