gigabyte H67N-USB3-B3 undervoltage problem

I tried to undervoltage using the H67N-USB3-B3. For example, with auto, vid is 1.25V, I set it to 1.1V. under full load, cpu voltage reads 1.1V. However, with no load, when speedstep kicks in, cpu voltage is 1.15V, normally it should be 0.75V. Does under/over voltage override speepstep?

The problem is cpu only underclocks when voltage is set to auto or normal,if its a fixed amount then cpu won't downclock on idle however there's another way by using dvid,first set cpu voltage to normal in cpu voltage list and make a note of what voltage cpu uses then find out your max cpu stable voltage and subtract max stable from normal voltage for example setting normal gives you 1.25v and your 100% stable with 1.15v then look for dvid in bios and enter -0.10000v,keep cpu voltage on normal setting,now when under load it will only use 1.15v instead of 1.25v and will still throttle down at idle

Thanks a lot. This is very helpful. I'll try it out. One thing is that when I set the vcore manually/fixed, I did see that the cpu still downclocked. And the voltage from cpu-z was not actually fixed. It jumped around the fixed voltage, sometimes quite a bit.

It could be vdroop,where voltage drops slightly under load,either add slightly more voltage to compensate or enable loadline calibration,if its stable though I wouldn't worry as its normal for voltages to fluctuate slightly depending on load
