GZ-Z77X-UD5H Random freezing and shutdowns.

Guys,

I am still getting the Lockup / Screech of Death.

Happens when i am playing games. Maybe once every 2/3 days.

I had the BCLK set to 100.1, but i read that 101.0 may solve the issue so i have just applied that.

I know it is early days and it is a new chipset but it is very annoying.

It always locks up when gaming (BF3 / Arma 2).

It happens about once in every 8 to 10 hours of gaming so maybe once every 3 days.

Everything is at stock apart from the RAM voltage which i set at 1.50v and of course BCLK to 101 now.

for dram id use atleast 1.55v,im running that much with my samsung green

and qpi/vtt id up it from stock 1.05v to 1.10v and test with gaming again,if same thing try 1.12v qpi/vtt,you can safely use upto 1.2v but you shouldnt need that much

ahh ok no worries,there might be others who have that board who can help further,if you look in the gigabyte sniper/m3 thread some good settings/oc advise there too

Since I use Bios F8 and changed my SSD from Crucial M4 to Intel 520, I had no freezes of the mouse/keyboard
whilst browing the internet.
Had a new problem "usb hub power surge msg." googled and found out a solution by removing all usb drivers
and re-installing them.

I think almost everyone has had USB problems at some point. I had that "usb hub" message a few times weeks ago. Mine went away with newer drivers, good to know uninstalling/reinstalling works too. I think it took a while for Intel to get their drivers worked out for Z77. I see there's a newer driver from Intel stasio posted up top, gonna try it even though I'm having no problems.

I've had my new PC with the GZ-Z77X-UD5H Wifi for about 5 weeks now. Up until today I've had zero problems, was running the F7 bios and had no crashes/lockups - totally smooth. Started playing ME3 on and off about 2 and half weeks ago and everything was fine until today when suddenly PC would lockup, go black screen followed by looping sound after a few minutes of starting the game. Rebooted and kept trying and it was crashing roughly after the same amount of time with the same symptoms. BCLK is set to 101 after going from 100(auto) to 100.1 and has not helped. Also flashed to F8 and has not helped either. Most other settings are still set to the optimized defaults I would imagine. Does anyone know anything else I could try?

i would try with manual cpu/vtt voltage of 1.10v from stock 1.05v

Thanks for the suggestion. So far so good. Though the screen did flicker black and came back a few times worryingly ...

Edit: well almost an hour later it happened again, though at least it took a lot longer this time...

try with 1.12v cpu/vtt,you can safely use upto 1.2v but i doubt youd need that much
