But wazza, how does voltage travel back through a circuit/switch that is supposedly off? I mean, regardless if the HDMI port gets power all the time, even when turned OFF, the switch surely can't be functioning correctly? Think if you had your $1000 BD player, $1000 AVR, and (pick something else) all connected and powered up but only one TV monitor, would you want voltage feeding back through one of the circuits?
You can't imagine how I freaked when I had just installed the 3770K cpu an hour before, only to see my fans light up when I plugged the two pc's into the switch.
But yeah, I don't understand why the HDMI port would be powered when the computer is off, and to me the switch doesn't work right either.
EDIT: But taking your post seriously, I will fire up the Z68 and disable the USB charging, though I don't know what that will get me.
