GA-EP45-UD3R Video Corruption Under XP

I have an EP45-UD3R I purchased in January of 2009. It has a Q9550 quad-core processor and uses OCZ Reaper memory (PC2 8500). I'm not overclocking the system at all. I noticed a few months ago that my video was getting "corrupted." One window on-screen would partially overwrite another window making an unreadable mess, or if I used the URL dropdown in IE or FireFox the URL list would appear partially. Scrolling down the list and back up would paint the list on screen. I removed my Sapphire HD4830 video card and upgraded to an MSI R6870 Hawk video card but got the same results.

I had some extra RAM so I swapped out the two installed sticks for two identical replacements and got the same results. I finally took the machine back to an XP Ghost image I made after I first built it with the same results.

I'd asked over on Tom's Hardware if anyone had experienced these issues and someone responded that a "lot" of people reported having problems with these boards going south. However, I've done a lot of web searches and can't seem to find anyone with these issues.

So has anyone here experienced this problem?

have you tried or asked gigabyte for rma? even if it is out of warranty they might fix,ive had a board repaired that i purchased in 09,had faulty ram slot,fixed for free

Before I would call it dead I would perform a full fresh install with a real install CD, not a ghosted image.
