It appears the problem was an old USB joystick. I unplugged it and the problem seems to have gone away.
BIOS was updated to F9 (the official one) using Q-Flash. It seemed to work fine for a while. Now when I enter BIOS it freezes instantly and the error code on the LED panel is D5 - "No Space for Legacy Option ROM initialization". The backup BIOS (F5) seems to work fine. Any ideas?
