Well, I was just about to pull all the triggers and then read the 19 pages of the UD5H motherboard issues and balked. This and the sold out CPU's has me taking it as a sign.

It's hard to hold back. I'm still in the UD5H camp though. I remember my GA-P35-DS3R and/or GA-EP45-UD3P had to have the "Enable Legacy USB" set to Disable or it would do kind of the same thing as I read here. So you can see I am a die-hard Gigabyte user.

I have newegg set to email me when the Z77's come back into stock, and at that time perhaps there will be a new BIOS or Version board?

I am really chopping at the bit. My case will be here today and the unboxing will no doubt raise my fever eh?

So to help sooth I will be looking into cooling again.

Where are you guys locating the reservoir for the XSPC Rasa 750 RX240? Pictures please?

Got the case today. Not state of the art but I like it. If I put fans in all the places it has available it would be a hovercraft.

I went ahead and purchased the Samsung RAM and Win 7 Pro because Newegg is running promo codes on them for 15% off. They also have a code on case fans but I dunno what to choose. I am thinking the Rosewell LED fans are not the best. Can I get some recommendations words on 120mm and 140mm fans? Just like everyone else I want quiet and flow, heh!

Also.......... on the liquid cooling I am riding the fence on a Corsair H100 and a Rasa 750 RS240. the thing is I cannot find a Rasa 750 RS240 in stock anywhere!

Check out Arctic Cooling 120mm, 92mm and 80mm PWM case fans with fluid dynamic bearings (FDB):
ARCTIC F Pro PWM · Case fans · Cooling · ARCTIC

Do NOT buy an ssd with asynchronous Nand, you will get much better real world performance with synchronous Nand by spending a bit more.
Check out the links in Asynchronous vs. Synchronous NAND Flash SSD Performance for more information. The chart in post #5 sums up the difference in performance when the drives are empty and when they are filled with data that uses 25%, 50% and 75% of their capacity.
Finding out which type of nand flash memory is often difficult because many manufacturers do not specify which type is used and they often have similar model names for each nand type.

I think that boondocks bought his w/c kit from FrozenCpu.

Fan controller setup for a pic of my XSPC setup.
I bought mine at frozencpu.com. Luckily I wanted the RX240 instead of the RS240 because a lot of places have sold out.

From what I've been able to find out, it may be up to a couple weeks before frozencpu.com, and I assume others, have the XSPC Rasa 750 RS240 back in stock. I think it's been REAL popular since IB came out. If you have a place to fit it, the Corsair H100 cools OK. I had one but sent it back when the fan controller did not work, and that gave me an excuse to get the XSPC, and I'm glad I did as temps are much better. The H100 is just a little better than a high end air cooler like the NH-D14 (which I also have, and tested).

About the UD5H board problems, mine has been pretty much trouble free. Remember, online you are probably going to see more people with problems with anything compared to people who have none. IOW the squeaky wheel......
This board is extremely easy to overclock, I've OC'd both a 2600K and a 3770K.

I am starting to lean at the RX240. I'm looking at it anyway. The RAD will hang down half way in front of my rear case fan though. the 65mm thickness added to the 25mm fan thickness And I wonder if the tank will sit in front of my PSU on the floor? Just pondering.

I am updating my OP by marking the items as "purchased" as I order them.

That case has a mesh bottom, right? IF your psu is short enough, and/or IF you pull out some of the drive cages the rad might mount on the floor. I think my case is a little longer and I would have had to pull out some drive cages to get it on the bottom. The radiator is a tad over 11" long, but the fan portion is same as 2 120mm fans side by side, or 240mm or about 9.45".

    Thank You,

I found a XSPC Rasa 750 RS240 @ performance-pc.com. He said it was there all along but I beg to differ. I remember cruising that site a few times. They are also crazypc.com. So it looks like it will tuck nicely up top.

Now I don't have to worry about a Corsair typesystem I cannot service or upgrade.

Looking at it with the top lid off.

With the fans it will hang down 1-3/8" and be a clean looking install.

You gonna pull that top fan off, or setup a push/pull?
