what is your OC settings in BIOS? CPU temp normal?
Hi, I´m trying oc my old PC to have a second live, but I´m newbie in oc and I have not could to pass 3,8Ghz.
Please help me.
Thanks

I have overcloked the system with easytune 6 only with the multiplier to 27. and memory to 1600, his speed.
Thanks

Don't use EasyTune do it manually, load optimized defaults, set boot seqquence RAID etc. then try to set memory to 1600 first.
If the memory has XMP profile you can use it, if not set memory multiplier to 12 and timings as memory specs.
You will likely need to increase QPI/Vtt anywhere from 1.2 to 1.35v, use the lowest possible to be stable.
Run memtest86+ before you run windows, then in windows run 2-3 hours Prime95 large FFT torture, if stable move on to CPU OC.
Watch your core temperatures with Core Temp or RealTemp, they should not exceed 70c at stock CPU settings.
Is it water cooling CPU cooler that you have?
Yes, I have the system is related in my profile. It´s a danger den. The CPU´s temp is always about 35 and 48 with oc 3,8 but the MCH is about 56 and 60ºC.
I have done the settings in the bios as this:
CPU clock ratio 28
Tubo boost enable
C1E, C3/C6/C7 and EIST disable
Uncore and QPI auto
BCLK to 133
PCI Express Frecuency to 100
C.I.A.2 Disabled
CPU clock drive 800V
PCIE clock drive 900mV
Performance enhance in standard
Memory multiplier 12
Dram Timing auto
Load Line Calibration disabled
CPU Vcore the system shows 1.28125 and I put 1.30625
QPI/VTT shows 1.175 and I put 1.255
IOH core auto
DRAM voltage shows 1.5 and I put 1.6
Thanks

Leaving memory timings auto will set them higher than spec (lower performance) set them manually as specified on the sticker/package.
It is best that you find the lwest possible voltages (CPU, QPI/VTT, DRAM).
It depemds on the RAM but if specs are 1.5v for 1600 you may want to lower it. More is not always better.
Is the MCH still with stock cooling? maybe a side fan can help there.
Yes it´s with the stock cooling, Now I´m making a new configuration of R.L. What do you think about this? Radiator->engine->MP->Deposit-> Northb->radiator If you think other configuration please send me.
Testing my oc configuration the system it´s stable over 3 hours with FSX and the temps are CPU 46 and MCH 57ºC.
Thanks

I am not sure on his terminology but I think he is saying Radiator ->CPU?->Pump->Res?->northbridge->radiator
For liquid cooling, loop order does not matter. You can have res->pump->cpu->gpu->rad or res->pump->rad->cpu->gpu or any other combination. Once you reach equilibrium the water is going to be the same temp. Put the order of your components the easiest way or the cleanest looking way.
The north bridge temp is fine and it should drop once you go liquid other wise just put a small fan towards it to blow air on it.
