Unfortunately not on these forums. The only way to get in direct contact with Gigabyte is GIGABYTE you can point them to this thread. As you said it looks like a bios problem with the UD5.

I did just that. I reported again the issues I'm having and gave them this post's link address.
I just wish there were more users with LSI cards and Z77X-UD5H to share their problems.

I'll give feedback as soon as they answer.

Both cards are updated with LSI latest firmwares.
Lets see if GGTS can help this time with all this collected info.

You are absolutly right. I contacted Gigabyte and they send me the F9a BIOS. Thanks.
acebmxer, the BIOS is real. I have it in my GGTS reply.
As soon as I try it, I'll give feedback.

Yes if it works for you please either PM or PM stasio or Post it here some where we can get it to other people to use. Also if you can test to make sure your cards work in all PCI-e slots.

I tried BIOS F9a and the problem persists. Both LSI Megaraid cards not detected.
I've shared BIOS link with STASIO for him to update the Beta Bios thread.

I've also replied GGTS saying it didn't work. Now I'm waiting their next move.

    Update:
I tried BIOS F9c and the problem persists. Both LSI Megaraid cards not detected.
There is some new options regarding optionBoot ROMs, but wasn't able to make them work.

GGTS suggested to use Graphic card on first slot x16 and one RAID card on slot 2 x16 (runs x8)... that still doesn't work.

If I remove the graphic card off the system and use the integrated graphics, then the raid controller card is detected and works in first and second slot PCIe...

Its very strange and annoying that this only works if the Raid card is the ONLY PCIe card used.
I'm having a long mail conversation with GGTS and they are trying to help. But not there yet...

Unhappy Re: GA-Z77X-UD5H and LSI MEGARAID CARD PROBLEM

    Hi,

I eventually managed to get the LSI 9265 to work with the GA-Z77X-UD5H. The board worked with BIOS f8c and f9a. It seems the RAID controller will *only* work in the first PCI-e 16x slot. I subsequently discovered that the SAS expander in the last slot was overheating badly, and had no way to reduce the temps to a reasonable level.

The board has now been replaced with a Gigabyte G1 Sniper 3. The four full length slots should provide a little more flexibility, avoiding the last slot. Unfortunately things have gone backwards. The card is not recognised in any of the slots, regardless of the BIOS version. I've tried disabling all of the options, and removing other PCI-e cards without success. Looks like another BIOS update is needed
