I get lockups (UD5H) when I try to overclock my G Skill Trident 2400 ram. It won't even boot to the empty UEFI screen, just a blinking cursor. I pretty much gave up on it after going as far as loosening up the bottom set of timings to 8.
Sin gave me some pretty loose timings to try but no go. Supposedly TT was able to overclock to x26 fairly easy and using a 2T CR. G.Skill TridentX PC3-19200 8GB (Z77 Ivy Bridge) Memory Kit Review :: TweakTown USA Edition
But if you look at their numbers they are terrible compared to what I get with stock timings.

I get the bios lock up and or blank screen with blinking curser generally if my vcore or dvid voltage is to low or bad vid card oc. I've been whining about this since day one.

I've had the BIOS lock up with a bad OC but seems only get the blinking cursor with trying to OC this ram. I've never locked anything up so bad I had to switch BIOS, but there's been times I've had to hit the cmos clear button up in the 4.8 OC range trying to be stingy with voltage. Hope my next 3770K is better on voltage than this one.
I'd like to know where all these people are buying cpu's then swapping them back when they don't OC like they want them to.

I think Microcenter does not ask to many questions. Or unless they know people there.

Well after playing around on the backup bios which was F5 the freeze still happens while in bios while overclocked. Turns out it looks like a vcore issue, I need 1 to 2 clicks more vcore to keep from locking up in bios. I am still testing but thats what it looks like for me.

Default Intel Smart Response Technology with Win 8 on Z77X-UD5H

    I am using a new Z77X-UD5H board.
I loaded Windows 7 onto the Z77 and set up my Intel Smart Response Technology to enable acceleration of a WD20FAEX with a Corsair F3 60GB SSD. It worked very well in Windows 7 and the performance was phenomenal and was confirmed with ATTO.
I then updated from Windows 7 to Windows 8 Release Preview. Everything appreared to be working well and Intel SRT said it was working but when I tested it with ATTO like I had in Windows 7 I was only getting the performance of the WD20FAEX and not gettting the Caching performance of the Corsair F3 60GB SSD.
I've tried reinstalling the Intel drivers with no apparent performance effect.
I also cleared the system and reinstalled Windows 7 -- made sure all drivers were up to date and all windows updates done and tested all my drives again with ATTO -- then I upgraded again to Windows 8 Release Preview and while Intel SRT says it is working properly i am not getting the benefit of the SSD caching.
Is there something I need to "turn-on" in Windows 8 to enable the ISRT to work properly or update properly from Windows 7?
