Sata cable for eSata connection - Gigabyte X58A-UD5

I have just bought this enclosure: Sharkoon Rapid-Case 3.5" USB 2+eSATA (I have not received it yet).

The question is will I need to buy a eSata cable as well or could I a use a normal internal Sata cable?.

I will not use this hard disk very often, it is only a backup device.

You will probably need to buy an eSata cable for maximum performance.

Thank you. I've tried with a normal Sata cable and it won't go into the eSata connector in the back panel. So, I need to buy a eSata cable.

After searching the web for a while I have come to the conclusion that it depends on the particular design of the socket. Electrically speaking should be no problem.

My Rosewill external case (usb 2.0 + eSata) came with a cable that has eSata connectors on both ends.
My computer case has an eSata front panel connector and the Rosewill has an identical eSata connector.
The case's external eSata connector connects internally to a standard motherboard sata port.

On my backup computer, I installed an eSata bracket on the back of the case, and this bracket has an attached cable that plugs into a standard sata port on the motherboard.
