i have set the qpi/vtt back to what i had and the v-core too i have also droped another 7 off the gpu memory clock to 1030 as i find it runs very smooth there and i have ran anouther countless amount of bench marks useing the same settings in Heaven and everything is now rock solid (fingers crossed it will stay this way now) roll on tomorrow i get my new cooler for the cpu, thermalright Archon sb-e

21x191,disable intel turbo boost 21x instead of 22x cpu multi usually uses less volts and is more stable ect
8x mem multi to give you 1528mhz
set uncore frequency to 17x
for cpu voltage set it to normal in cpu voltage list and post how much cpu voltage is being used in the bios under voltages and i can tell you how much to set in dvid
dram voltage set according to whats printed on the ram,either 1.5v or 1.66v
qpi/vtt can be anywhere from 1.3-1.38v id try with 1.315v

but i need to know how much voltage the cpu uses when set to normal first

when you say "but i need to know how much voltage the cpu uses when set to normal first" do you mean in bios when the settings are all at defaults stock 2.8ghz ? i guess the numbers beside the vcore before the auto yes ?

all you have to do in the bios is set cpu voltage to "normal" in the cpu voltage list then see how much is being used next to cpu voltage,its the cpu's default vid,auto usually uses more so you need to set to normal

ok cpu vcore now set to normal its 1.18125v im thinking from what you have said in other threads i ned load line calibration set to standard too as i have that at leval 2 atm

yeah set that to normal,id say youd need around 1.2-1.25v for 4ghz depending on a decent chip

so keep cpu voltage on normal and set dvid to +0.06875v this amount gets applied at cpu load so +0.06875 add to your stock 1.18125 = 1.25000v total cpu voltage at load,you might be able to lower it or you might need more idk until you test ect

thanks wazza iv set those settings and now booted into windows however i have 2 green led's now on my mobo iv seen them before the first is the 3rd down right next to the ram 1 slot in the manual on page 7 its either the ddr voltage led's or the ddr phase led's, the next green led i have on is right up above the cpu to the right and again page 7 of the manual it says this is for cpu voltage L1/L2 and im sure its the second led thats lit green should either or none of these be lit right now, one other thing im not sure what the IOH core setting should be in bios, its at 1.200v now,

intel burn test set to standard crashed auto restarted the system on the 3rd pass ;-(
