Hi wazza yeah m8 im useing the F8a bios right from the gigabyte website update for my mobo, i dont know what the "a" is for lol

i have just notice in servicess that windows time was set to manual i dont know if this may be the cause though or even if it is suposed to be set to manual

set it to synchronize with internet,but even so it shouldnt reset it in the bios or your oc settings,thats just for windows

try and find out what revision the mb is,it should be printed on the box or board itself

my mother board is the rav 1.0 so i have just flashed the bios again useing the first like out the 2 now the bios is f8b not f8a
can i just ask wazza where did you get that from ? as this is the site i go to and there isnt a f8b

the problem is i cant just test it either as when i power off it doesnt happen till its been off for quite a while normaly off between 2:30am to 8:00am
so i'll just have to wait now and see if it happens again tomorrow morning lol

it still could be memory voltage,either dram but 1.66v is as much as you should use or qpi/vtt voltage not enough,one/two clicks more dvid voltage might help also,its only when the components are cold,once warm its fine

yeah its all fine when warm i can power off and back on 20 minuets later and still all fine, i'll try tonight just setting the DVID another notch up but leave the qpi/vtt where it is for now as its already in the pink, i know it will go a little higher!! and let you know tomorrow how things went, once again m8 thanks so much for the much needed help

well here we are another day lol good news, before i went to bed i was sat here thinking and i thought if i change the DVID or anything else i will never know what the resetting problem is so i thought lets just try one thing at a time and as we did the bios update yesterday from F8A TO F8B i thought lets just leave everything else as it is as the system is really nice and stable at these settings and i woke this morning after the system powered on by alarm in bios and hay presto everything looks fine, the O/C settings are still in place and the date was still todays date, once again wazza m8 thanks so much for the much needed help here, looks like the update has fixed it,

Hi again im back with another question, regarding the start of this thread about the graphics crashing and freezing my system, is there anyway this could have been happening due to heat ?
the reason im now asking is because of a little heatsink in the picture bellow

where is that heatsink? is it under the gpu's? i think it was down to your gpu memory crashing,i had same thing happen with a 5870,soon as i downclocked it by 50mhz it was rock solid
